Sherline 2000 Mill CNC-Ready Upgrade Kit 6705
2000 Mill CNC-Ready Upgrade Kit. This kit will upgrade the inch mill version. The metric is also available, please contact us to request it.
Any existing Sherline lathe or mill can be converted to CNC-ready status. The installation will involve drilling and tapping several holes to attach the stepper motor mounts. The kits include drill blocks that are attached to the appropriate table or bed using the single existing hole and then two new holes are drilled using the block as a guide. The holes are then tapped and the new mount installed. In the case of the mill column and the lathe leadscrew, a new leadscrew must also be installed. Complete instructions for the conversion are supplied with the kits.
The 6705/6715 CNC-Ready Mill Upgrade Kit
The 6705 (6715 metric) is designed for the 2000-series mills, which includes the following:

What does “CNC-Ready” mean?
CNC-ready means the machine is ready to bolt on stepper motors and apply CNC control to them by means of a system that the user must supply. If you are not capable of developing your own CNC system, several aftermarket suppliers offer stepper motors, drivers and CNC software to complete the system.
