Description
Sherline CNC Ready Upgrade Kit for 4100 Mill (6725)
CNC Ready Upgrade Kit
Convert any existing Sherline lathe or mill to CNC-ready status. The installation will involve drilling and tapping several holes to attach the stepper motor mounts. The kits include drill blocks that attach to the appropriate table or bed. They use the single existing hole and then two new holes are drilled using the block as a guide. The holes are then tapped and the new mount installed. In the case of the mill column and the lathe leadscrew, a new leadscrew must also be installed. Complete instructions for the conversion come with the kits.

What does “CNC-Ready” mean?
CNC-ready means the machine is ready to bolt on stepper motors and apply CNC control to them by means of a system that the user must supply. If you are not capable of developing your own CNC system, several aftermarket suppliers offer stepper motors, drivers and CNC software to complete the system.
