15 in Extended Column Bed
Adds 4″ of travel to the Sherline mill column. Does not include leadscrew.
The standard mill column is 11″ long and has about 6″ of travel. This extended column is 15″ long, adding 4″ to the travel for a total of over 10″. If you need more height due to drilling or boring deep holes or working with tall setups, here is a way to do it without adding riser blocks. The column is available in two versions, standard and CNC. The CNC version is a few dollars more due to the extra drilled and tapped holes for the stepper motor mount. It also does not have the hole drilled at the top for the thrust collar, so it cannot be used on a manual mill.
You can order it as an option on a new mill, or as an updated replacement for your current Sherline mill. You will also need to purchase the appropriate leadscrew.
